Effective March 1st, 2025 USA Soccer implemented the Referee Abuse Prevention (RAP) Policy. The policy is designed to make youth and amateur matches more safe, more fun, and more empowering for everyone involved. BAYS has adopted this to replace the previous Zero Tolerance Policy: https://bays.org/content/referee-abuse-prevention-policy. Any player, coach or spectator suspended for a RAP Policy violation is unable to participate in any MYSA (inclusive of both Club and BAYS) soccer activities (practice, coach, play in a game, attend a game, etc.) for the duration of the suspension.
What happens when a RAP Policy violation is reported to Natick Soccer?
The NSC Sportsmanship Review Committee (SRC) will review the information reported in the RAP Policy violation and discuss how best to address the issue. In addition to serving any suspension that is imposed by BAYS and/or Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association (MYSA), the coach/spectator will be asked to address the RAP Policy violation and a determination will be made by the SRC as to the appropriate course of action.
